Introducing Chill

Chill is an app that allows people to virtually stand in line for stores. Instead of having to wait in long lines outside, users can wait inside their car and wait for their turn to enter the store. Users will have a browse section so while they wait…

How are women portrayed in the musical? What are some of their struggles and triumphs? Whose point of view in the play would you have been interested in learning more about? Why?

I would say the women are portrayed as obedient servants to their husbands. I say this because Angelica…

My favorite song of the musical was burn sung by Eliza. I liked the song because here was the first time in my opinion that we really got to see the emotions of Eliza. The amount of pain in her voice was really telling of how the character felt at…

I would say I’m really interested in writing a story that shows the daily life of someone going through some type of mental illness and as they grow up something goes wrong and they pretty much go insane and start killing people. This would be in the genre of like…

Growing up I never was told like specific stories that I would consider like good ones lol. Most of the stories I were told were ones to keep me from doing stuff. For example, I used to go to this after school program in elementary school that was kind surrounded…

My process is to first identify any unusual or in this case creative structural syntax. This can help me identify pretty early on the tone of the poem. Which is the next step in the process, identifying the tone. I like to look for descriptive words or repetition. These identifiers…

Brenner I love how you crafted your poem! You've crafted the dark side by expressing the fire land and fly no higher. But you've also managed to capture the light side when at the end you show the memories and "smiles" you share. Nice Job!

That black man rolled up in a mat

in that high school

remind me of white supremacists

in police uniforms and badges

so the people wouldn’t catch them

still can’t find what we aren’t

looking for can we?

I chose to shape my poem in the shape of California because that’s what the poem is based off of. Lately there have been lots of fires happening all over the state and there aren’t any clear answers to when they’ll stop. The president decided to go to twitter and actually blame California for the fires. I tried to capture that in my poem by using language that would portray the misplacement of blame on the victim. This is why I highlighted the repeated line in red. I feel like the president is unable to take accountability and instead copes with telling himself that he is trying his best even if it’s not good enough and that people should see him for his efforts and not his actions.
